Club 25 is a participatory youth strategy which aims to
promote voluntary non-remunerated blood donation among young people. Through
the Club 25 initiative National Societies recruit, educate, motivate and retain
young blood donors between 17 and 25 years of age who commit to adopting a
healthy lifestyle and become low risk regular blood donors. Young people who
become members of Club 25 make a commitment to donate blood at least twice a
year until their 25th birthday. In this way, they contribute to increasing
their country’s blood supply and to fostering youth social responsibility and
voluntarism within their communities.
